Ignorance Is Bliss?

Surrounding yourself in a fake reality is truly living the good life right? Wrong. A fake reality is just that, it’s false. Not real. Why would you ever want to have anything but the truth? Surely lies can’t and don’t make you happy. Yet this phrase still survives and in fact thrives and preys on the people yearning for happiness throughout their years. To be truly contented all your life is to live in a cardboard box or an immensely strong bubble; to me, the exact same thing as being ignorant of everything around you. If you’re constantly thinking of only the sunshine and the pretty blue skies, you’re also shielding yourself from the knowledge of less happy things, but also the knowledge of other things in life. Unfortunately, not everything is gift wrapped in glittering paper and there are things that will make you cry and want to give up; but there are also many aspects that make you appreciate the fact that you can still smile, laugh and love. So whoever said ignorance was bliss, never truly was happy.
